Erin Reibel has served as the pastor of Saint Andrew's United Methodist Church since 2016. With over 17 years of experience in ministry, Erin has worked with youth, adults, congregational care, traditional and contemporary worship. She received her Bachelor of Arts from the College of William and Mary with a dual major in Religion and Psychology in 2001. She received her Master of Divinity and Master of Christian Education from Union Presbyterian Seminary in 2009 and her Doctor of Ministry from Wesley Theological Seminary in 2018. Erin is passionate about connecting the Bible and holy living with the practical aspects of day to day life.
Director of Youth Ministries
Shannon Boyd grew up at Saint Andrew’s UMC. She is thrilled to serve as director of the program that tremendously impacted her life as a teenager and loves to witness our youth grow in their faith and become future leaders. Shannon attended Meredith College in Raleigh, North Carolina, and graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Interior Design and a minor in Studio Art.
Director of Children’s Ministries
James Dettmer is originally from Portsmouth, Virginia, and graduated from William and Mary with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Elementary Education in 2007. He has taught children of all ages, from Pre-K through fifth grade, and has also worked with summer camps and church youth activities, including Vacation Bible School. While serving as our Director of Children he is also continuing his education at Union Presbyterian Seminary located in Richmond.
Director of Music
Jean Edwards has served as the Director of Music at Saint Andrew’s UMC for over 40 years. She currently plays both the piano and organ at our 8:30 and 11am worship services. She also directs the choir and coordinates special music in our worship services.
Communications Administrative Assistant
Chris was born and raised in Ohio and has a background in journalism and marketing. Chris helps with the development, coordination, and execution of St. Andrew’s communication social media outlets, plans, and projects.
